Kauai's Hindu Monastery

Kauai Aadheenam, popularly refered to as Kauai's Hindu Monastery, is a traditional south Indian monastery located on the northernmost of the Hawaiian islands, Kauai. It serves as the headquaters for the global activities of Saiva Siddhanta Church, Himalayan Academy and Hindu Heritage Endowment.

Purpose of the Endowment

The Kauai Aadheenam Monastic Endowment provides for the regular monthly living expenses of the monastics.

Monastic living expenses covered include regular monthly expenses for food, utilities, medical, personal items, automobile expenses including insurance, minor maintenance and equipment repair, housekeeping supplies, birds and animal care. This endowment also supports special items such as monastic travel, study courses, beginning training of young monks and bulk orders of clothing.

Goals of the Endowment

The financial goal of the Kauai Aadheenam Monastic Endowment is to build principal to $8 million whch will provide a monthly grant of approximately $13,300. Fund #1.
