Calssical dance students from various dance schools will make the brick offering to the shrine that will house the Nataraja Vigraha with His consort Sivagama Sundari. Maha Ganapati Temple is delighted to annouce the completion of the 26 feet tall Vimana Gopuram (tower) atop Lord Maha Ganapati's shrine. Shilpis worked tirelessly this past year on the intricate artwork on the Vimana. Each piece was hand sculpted and placed on the tower by the team os talented shilpis (artisans). Construction has commenced on the Vimana Gopuram atop Lord Srinivasa's shrine. Devotees were treated to a magnificent display of over 1000 traditional caly lamos lit in the formation of a Siva Linga and lined up around the shrines in the temple on Dec. 1, 2012. The glow of the lamps transformed the temple into a magical place. With the invocation of Agni (fire) in the lamps by the priests, community members, young and old alike lit the lamps in the temple to the singing of bhajans by children of Arizona Tamil School.
