Thank you for asking
to receive our newsletter

Your interest in Hinduism Today's future is encouraging and strengthening. This is our newsletter #2. View newsletter #1.

Why a Production Fund?
The fund was founded to provide Hinduism Today with the means to remain a powerful voice for Hinduism that can be heard everywhere.

As it grows, grants will allow future editors to hire top reporters, photographers, artists, writers, designers, researchers, translators, filmmakers, experts in various fields, such as digital communications. Though young, the fund is already proving immensely helpful (see "news," below). Read more about the purpose and accomplishments of the Production Fund.

A shared vision
Our donors urge us on, pointing out the magazine's positive effects and the critical need to reach more souls, especially the youth.

• When I see the mass of misinformation, I worry... and as I see it, time is short.
—Dr. B. Lathi, California

• We will continue our support so the magazine becomes widespread and a major player among forces that will shape upcoming generations.
—Dr. Urmil Shukla, Texas

We accept the challenge and thank you for the support.

Production Fund news

1. Production Fund website upgrade. We have greatly enhanced the presentation of the fund on our site, with new information on its purpose, goals and accomplishments to date. Best of all, it introduces our donors and their lofty vision and inspired utterances. Take a look.

2. Video production. With 100% support from the Production Fund, Hinduism Today editors have, in a few months, posted about 30 videos on YouTube, including their most substantial offering so far, a 45-minute Introduction to Hinduism narrated by publisher Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami. It is an incomparable resource for teachers, lecturers, parents or anyone wanting a refresher on Hinduism's inspiring basics. It is also visible on our own Video Library webpage, where it is whole (not broken up as on YouTube) and downloadable to take wherever you go.

Here is the kind of advance that Hinduism Today's staff is sparing no effort to make—while the Production Fund provides the fuel.

3. Video education & training. In March, with video becoming a greater part of Hinduism Today output, the editors brought to Hawaii two renowned film and video experts, Josh and Michelle Mellicker, who offered the entire staff a three-day intensive seminar. It covered all aspects of production, from camera work to sophisticated editing software—and the project was entirely subsidized by the Production Fund.

4.Projected growth through 2010. On May 1, the monks who oversee the Production Fund set the following goal as the next increment of development:

By the end of 2010, the fund's principal will have grown by $100,000 so that quarterly grants for the creation of each issue augment by $1,000. The increase may appear modest, but it will be a firm step forward, one that enables the editors to significantly develop the magazine—in print, digital and video modes.

Please help us realize this goal. We invite you to donate online or contact us at 808-634-5407, or by e-mail.

All donations to the Production Fund are placed into the Hindu Heritage Endowment (HHE). And so, your gift will keep on giving and driving Hinduism Today forward... endlessly!

Meet our other benefactors

Yes, this is an excellent time to give to the Production Fund. Hindu Heritage Endowment's highly competent team of financial advisors tell us that, historically, down markets and slow economies have always recovered, eventually. It may take time, but they always do return to previous levels and beyond.

They explain that any gift made at this time will be placed in the current low market. And when the market does come back up, the value of the gift will appreciate accordingly.

Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami and his monastic order chose HHE's team of investment counsellors with much care. And it has paid off through the years. They have managed HHE's funds with prudence and foresight, placing them into a broadly diversified portfolio of quality investments that would always have the ability to rebound from difficult times.

If you are thinking of giving to the Production Fund in the future, then please consider making that gift now—as the years go by, it will prove to be a much more powerful gift. You may donate here , or become a benefactor here. Or give us a call, 808-634-5407.
